Performances and Cirque du Soleil – Second Day

The activities really started on the second day.

After a copious breakfast, the group headed to the Preston Market; a lively local market with foods and lots of activities for all ages. Today visitors had the great suprise to discover a performance from the Brazilian group playing different styles: Ohanna; Olodum; Hip Hop; Mambo and some that they composed themselves. They also showcased some dances from Mozambique, Guinea and Angola. They had a huge success. There were even some local journalists to film them.

The performance was followed by students an impressive performance from Westside Circus.

After the show we all took the train heading up to The First Flight Rod Laver Arena Melbourne were we had the privilege to watch the new  Cirque du Soleil’s show, TORUK, inspired by James Cameron’s AVATAR

Back at The Lodge, the Swedish group cooked for us some nice dinner: chicken, salad and rice. And for desert: fruits salad.

The participants then played some games .
